Pannkaka

Enda receptet jag kan utantill. Så här gör jag.

8 dl mjölk
4 dl mjöl
4 ägg
0,5 dl matolja
1 tsk malen kardemumma
0,5 tsk salt

Blanda allt och vispa slätt. Grädda i 225 grader.

London, New York, Japan, Malaysia...? Jordenrunt?

- Vi ska pyssla sådana här.

Brother went to bed with a fever last night, so today we just stayed inside and chilled for most of the day. In the kitchen mostly.

I find myself reading again. I read a lot when I was younger. But then university happened. Kids happened. Internet happened - just a little. The plan now, is one book every week for the rest of the year. Please tell me your all-time favorite book.

Question: Where would you go, and what would you do if you could take your family abroad for two or three months?

  2. Okay, turns out I can't just leave it at 1 book. :) I really enjoyed the Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver. It's one of the most amazing books, until about three-fourth into it. Anything written by WG Sebald is magical, although in a very understated way. It's hard to get into at first, but very rewarding if you do go through with it.

For something quick, I recommend Gone With The Wind, which is actually quite exceptional.

Yes, I think those are my favorites I'd like to hear what are your's?

  3. Thankyou! I feel like such a beginner... ;) But, I've always loved José Saramago. And the most overwhelming reading experience I've had recently was Atemschaukel by Herta Müller. Kalevala is actually pretty amazing too...

  4. I also have a weak spot for 19th century, Victorian classics... I love the morals of that era.

  5. Oh I love Herta Mueller, although I haven't read that particular book. Haven't even heard of Saramago, so thank you. :)

    Yes to Kalevala.

And if you like 19th century stuff, I recommend anything by Henry James and Oscar Wilde. Oscar Wilde is one of my all-time favorites, the man is a genius. E.M. Forster's book "Howards End" is a wonderful masterpiece. You probably have read Jane Eyre, but if you haven't, do it!

Good luck, can't wait to hear reviews!

    :)
