Ljus

This Christmas we tried making beeswax candles for the first time. It's my new favorite last-minute handmade gift! Beautiful, natural, easy. Also a really great activity for children. Just google a tutorial or click hereBeeswax candles have a wonderful sweet honeyed scent, burn nicely and evidently do not produce the toxins or soot common to paraffin candles. :)

...turns out eating healthy and spending wisely is tough!  Today especially. Maybe it's a Friday the 13th syndrome? Or the fact that the Mr is back at work. Blah.

  1. We'll have to try this! May I ask where you got the beeswax sheets?

  2. My mom used to make these at some point if I remember right. They're lovely!

  3. Isa, I got them at Presento here in Turku. Ask at Sinelli or some other craft store.
Sara, thankyou! I really need candles at this time of year. Even more than at Christmas.

  4. Well, at least you remember to floss. :) I wouldn't. And I can relate to eating healthy being harder when the Mr is at work, especially if he's away the nights too.
